New boss in town
Well...a lot has been going on in the O'Brien household over the last few weeks. It's been difficult to find the time to update our blog. We have had many family and friends in town to visit our little guy. The last few weeks have been quite an adjustment for us, but we have learned that there is a new boss in town. Cullen definitely runs the show...all 7 lbs 5 oz of him! We have begun to establish routines. Cullen eats about every 3 hours, so the sleep that we are getting has been in 2 hour increments. Cullen and I take a nap almost every day around 3, and boy do we need it! Cullen is a healthy baby boy. His jaundice has gone away and he continues to add weight daily. We go in for our 1 month check-up next week. It's hard to believe that he's almost 1 month old! Where does the time go? So...a few things that Rob and I have learned about Cullen. 1. Cullen hates to be naked. Whenever we attempt to change his clothes, he becomes upset and begins crying. We have learned that a pacifer can be magical :) 2. Cullen knows our voices and has begun to move his head in our direction to see us. It has been amazing to see Cullen focus on our faces. 3. Cullen thinks that between 11 pm and 2 am we should party! He likes to keep his mom and dad up during this time. Good news is that this is getting better each day! Ritz has adjusted nicely to having a baby in her house. She is very protective of him and follows him around everywhere. I think she is beginning to understand that she is no longer Alpha; she is now Beta! It seems that she is in all of Cullen's pictures. She doesn't want to be left out! Enjoy our latest pictures. If you haven't had a chance to meet Cullen, come on over, we love having company!

Our first family walk

We had many family and friends bring us dinners. Thank you so much! Cullen even got a birthday cake!

Rob loves to use the baby brush on Cullen's hair after a bath. He combs it to the side and gives him a "corporate comb over."

This past weekend we went up to Michigan to visit Grandma and Grandpa O'Brien. Aunt Debby drove up from Ann Arbor to meet Cullen. We even got a family picture in front of the Big House. Cullen can't wait to wear his Michigan gear!
Cuddling with Daddy :) This picture was taken at about 1 am when Cullen didn't want to go to sleep!
