The celebrating continued...

After Cullen's actual birthday, Cullen had a party at Miss Julie's (daycare). She made cupcakes in ice cream cones and Cullen made a mess! That following weekend, we continued the festivities when my parents and Rob's parents came to town. Cullen had his one year picture taken and enjoyed chocolate cupcakes! We had a ball! Cullen has begun walking! Over the last few weeks, Cullen has been taking 1 or 2 steps, but this week he walked 7-8 steps at once. I have a feeling that he won't be walking for long- he'll be running pretty soon!

Happy Birthday Cullen!

Cullen's first year

Wow, it's so hard to believe that Cullen is 1 year old today! We can't imagine our lives without our little guy. He is so amazing and we are so blessed to have him as our son. Unfortunately, I had to work late tonight (Curriculum Night at school) so I wasn't able to spend as much time as I would have liked with the Birthday Boy. Rob and Cullen enjoyed their time together and had some father/son bonding time this evening. Rob picked Cullen up from daycare and met me at school so we could have a small celebration before my presentation. Cullen also had a mini-party at daycare with all of his friends, and he loved all of the attention! We will have Cullen's big birthday celebration next weekend when our parents both come in town. Thanks for all of your calls, emails, and cards wishing Cullen a Happy Birthday!

Big news...Cullen took his first step yesterday (the day before his 1st birthday)! I'm sure he'll be walking on his own very soon! Enjoy the pictures of Cullen's 1st year.

Back to school

It's back to school time for me. My students start on Thursday, but I have been working on my classroom for the last few weeks. I absolutely loved spending the whole summer with Cullen. We had the best time hanging out at the pool, going to the zoo, listening to story hour at the library, etc. As fast as the summer went by, it's amazing how much Cullen changed over the last few months. It's hard to believe that Cullen is almost 1! Though I'm going to miss our little guy like crazy when I'm at work, I'm anxious to meet my new class and begin the new year with 22 eager third graders.

Cullen's latest an
d greatest...standing completely on his own, clapping (which is so cute- he claps for himself when he stands), eats all regular food, waves buh-bye, first experience with bubbles (he tried to eat them), gives kisses (slobbers), and loves to pull Ritzy's tail.

Cullen's hair is growing so fast; we are going in for his second haircut this weekend.
